Myokeep Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 1, 2026 · From Verus Trade LLC · privacy@myokeep.ai

Myokeep is an iOS app that helps you track daily protein while you lose weight on a GLP-1 medication. We built it privacy-first: your health information lives on your own device and in your own iCloud — we are not able to see your raw food logs, symptom entries, or weight history. This policy explains what that means in plain language.

The short version

  • Your health data stays with you. What you log is stored on your device and synced through your private iCloud account. We keep no copy of your health logs on our servers.
  • We don't sell your data, and we don't use it to train AI.
  • The AI coach only ever sees anonymous numbers — never your raw food entries or your identity together.
  • No advertising or cross-app tracking is built into the app.
  • You can delete your data in the app, and you can ask us to remove anything we hold.

1. Information you put into the app (stays on your device + your iCloud)

When you use Myokeep you may enter your profile (body weight, whether you do resistance training), protein logs (grams, and optionally a food name and calories), symptom check-ins (a symptom from a fixed list, a self-rated severity, and the date), your injection day, and saved favorites. This information is stored on your device and synced through your private iCloud (Apple CloudKit) container, encrypted by Apple. The raw entries are not sent to our servers, and we cannot read them. You log your injection day yourself; the app never recommends, calculates, or adjusts a dose.

2. Account information

If you sign in with Apple, Apple gives us an identifier for your account (you can choose to hide your email). If you sign in by email, we store your email address to send your one-time sign-in link and recognize you on return. We use this only to sign you in and link your subscription — never for marketing.

3. Subscription information

Myokeep is a paid subscription. Purchases are handled by Apple's App Store, so Apple processes your payment — we never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and to know whether yours is active.

4. AI coaching data (anonymous aggregates only)

If you ask the in-app coach for a tip, the app sends a small set of anonymous, aggregated numbers — for example your protein target, the average percent of target you hit over the past week, and your most-frequent symptom from the fixed list — plus a random identifier not tied to your name or email, used only to enforce a daily limit. Never sent: your name, your email, or your raw food entries alongside your identity. We do not use your data to train AI models.

5. Barcode lookups

When you scan or type a barcode, the app sends that barcode number (nothing about you) to the free Open Food Facts database to fetch nutrition information.

6. Technical information our backend processes

Our backend runs on Cloudflare, which processes standard technical data such as your IP address and request information when your app talks to our servers (sign-in, subscription checks, coaching). Our servers store only your sign-in email/identifier, your subscription status, magic-link tokens, and anonymous daily counters for the AI-tip limit.

7. Service providers

We share the limited information above with providers who help us run Myokeep, each only for its stated purpose: Apple (iCloud storage of your data, Sign in with Apple, App Store payments), Cloudflare (backend), Anthropic (the AI model — anonymous numbers only), RevenueCat (subscriptions), Resend (sign-in email), and Open Food Facts (barcode lookup). We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers or data brokers.

8. How we use information

To sign you in, keep your subscription working, provide AI coaching tips, operate and secure the service, and meet legal obligations. We do not use your health logs for any of this — they stay on your device and in your iCloud.

9. Data retention

Your health logs remain in your device and iCloud until you delete them. Account/subscription records on our servers are kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward as required for tax, accounting, and dispute purposes, then deleted. Magic-link tokens expire shortly after issue; AI-tip counters reset daily.

10. Deleting your data

You can delete the data on your device any time from Settings → Delete all my data in the app. To delete information we hold on our servers (your email/identifier and subscription record), contact us at privacy@myokeep.ai and we will remove it, subject to records we must keep by law.

11. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK under GDPR and California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because your health logs are in your own iCloud, much of this is already in your direct control; for the account and subscription data we hold, contact privacy@myokeep.ai. We do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

12. Security

Your health data is encrypted on your device and in iCloud by Apple. Connections to our backend use HTTPS. AI coaching requests are reduced to anonymous numbers before any model sees them. No method is perfectly secure, but we design to keep the sensitive data off our servers entirely.

13. International users

Myokeep is operated from the United States, and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries.

14. Children's privacy

Myokeep is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

15. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
